I love visiting Venice, and this is one of my all-time favourite places to spend an evening. Hidden away in the backstreets, you need to know where you're going to find it—but this unassuming venue is home to the Venice Jazz Club. Imagine how Ronnie Scott's might have been before it became world-famous: intimate, authentic, alive with music.

Great jazz players, a small and intimate setting, and an atmosphere that wraps around you like the music itself. I often take my sketchbook along and love to free sketch to the rhythm of the music, capturing the energy and warmth as it unfolds. There are three paintings in this series, all born from those original sketches and the memories they hold. The colours reflect the warmth and energy of the club—a place where music and art come together to create something truly special.
